Fancy a Master Class?
Ruthin businesses workshop to get smart with retail skills
Retailers in Ruthin are to be given the chance to improve their selling
skills by attending a Mary Portas Selling and Service Masterclass.
The session, taking place at Ruthin Castle on Sunday, March 11 between 10am
and 4.30pm has been developed in direct response to feedback from the
Skillsmart retail local model exercise that recently took place in the
town.
The survey found that retailers in Ruthin were amongst the best in the UK
when it came to customer service.
Participants will learn about different selling styles and shopper types,
with practical hints, tips and know-how to promote a great selling and
service culture within the business. Those taking part will then be able to
sell and serve more effectively, master different selling styles and
maintain selling momentum.
Michelle Rendell, Denbighshire County Council's Business Growth Officer,
said: "Retail is all about offering great sales and service and when it's
done well, businesses will succeed.
"The 'Selling and Service Skills' masterclass will teach people how to
create, manage and sustain a fantastic selling environment across their
store and through their team. This will be a great opportunity for
businesses in Ruthin to follow-up on their recent experience and build up
on their skills and understanding to enhance their business."
This course is supported by Denbighshire County Council's Business Support
department and is being offered to the retailer at a cost of £20, a £180
saving.
The number of places available is limited to 15, so bookings should be made
no later than 22nd of February by contacting Michelle Rendell on 07887
958063 or by-e-mail: [email protected]
This event is being delivered by The National Skills Academy Retail, in
partnership with Denbighshire County Council and Coleg Llandrillo Cymru
Retail Skills Shop.
